Cathedral High of Los Angeles won the boys 1,000-meter Swedish Relay and placed second in the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay at Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Adonyss Currie, Ekene Onwaeze, Tony Walton and William Mullins won the Swedish Relay in 1:58.34, becoming the first California program in meet history to win the event. Currie and Onwaeze joined Jake Preston and Ambodai Ligons on the 1,600 sprint medley relay to clock 3:26.90 and finish behind Rapid City Stevens of South Dakota and its 3:25.12 performance.
