Emmanuel Hernandez, a junior at Cathedral High in California, won the boys varsity small school race at the 43rd ASICS Clovis Invitational by clocking 15:13.7 on the 5-kilometer layout at Woodward Park in Fresno. Cathedral had five scorers in the top 50 overall, but was edged by St. Francis by an 86-103 margin.
